	This initial draft of Surrounded is from October 2012. It was plucked on a nylon guitar in a small room by an insomniac, stated in the scratch lyrics, “cast to the dawn.”

It was the in-between hours & I was trying to be quiet & just get a simple rough of a picking pattern.

Surrounded is one of a trio of songs that came at once with this no-name nylon guitar I found around that time at a nearby thrift store. 
I also used the no-name for an instrumental recording of Beautiful Question.
The final version, which appears on the 2013 album Surrounded, was recorded a few months later with most of the scratch intact, but none of the no-name. 

It’s on the set list for the this year's Acoustic Living Room Shows.
