And here I was thinking (hoping?) this was a misspelling and that your were finally coming to play a show in Ottawa! (that would be Canada's beautiful capital city, and home to a lovely microbrewery who would love to host you, wink wink)
My uncle's family with a bunch of cool teenage cousins lived in Ottumwa and I always liked tagging along. My cousin took me to Twin Galaxies from the Kong movie, the first arcade I ever went to. I might not have even been aware there was such a thing as arcades before that.
It's other claim to fame is it's the fictional home of Radar O'Reilly from M*A*S*H. Maybe he picked up his skills looking for martins over the gourd vines
Figment is an amazing find...particularly with the article. Wandering, eavesdropping, and conjuring is a favorite pastime of my second born and I as well. However, to be fair, he is just 15 and sorta likes that buggy feeling. I do not. Always a pleasure Buckner.
Relocated to Ottumwa 5 years ago and was very surprised to see this in my email last week.

Ottumwa. Also the town where Radar O'Reilly was from in M*A*S*H!
His country music choices are legit, except for Alabama.
Love, love, love this. The art. The article. The feelings conjured. Thanks for being out there and taking the time to share.
Wow! That’s a find, and a deal!! Great story and art!
✨✨✨
Thank you for sharing this curious treasure and the reminder that more than just the devil is in the details

That's a beautiful piece of outsider goodness right there. Your next album cover if I've ever seen it.
