This demo called freedom is likely from 2015. The song was a few years old by then. It would go on to be re-recorded in various forms. I tried it next with an EH Pog2 pedal/Univox drum machine beat, then a version without any accompanying guitar or percussion — just keyboards & a sloppy slide performance. 

This is the first version. It sounds like the Kalamazoo captured in stereo with, maybe, an EV Cobalt & a Shure SM81 — vocals, who knows. One take. I think this was recorded mostly to document the progress of the picking pattern, which I’d been struggling with. I found this initial rendition in the Roland 2480 a few weeks ago.
