Forgiveness was written around 2015 & demoed here & there for a few years with various feels between four & twenty tracks. This is a 2017 Roland 2480 acoustic stab:

Pulling at the reins dragging in denial, pushing back in vain what the darkness brings to light. The sirens cry, leaning on the door.

Spoilers on the scout, buried in their faith, dying to stand their ground, stalk out to the race. Disciples in the haze, conditioned and ignored, rise up to be crushed with what they've been fighting for.

Rooting where they dig, grubs beneath the stone, left out but blending in, lift the heaviness alone. Vassals that forgive only stay to get some more, surrendering the rage of what they've been fighting for.
