So good. I think I remember a Danelectro and a looping pedal from Mercury Lounge probably just years into the new millennium and it was such a special continuous show but I could be wrong because my memory is selective.
I went to school in Gainesville and worked at the local record store. Robert Ray was a teacher of mine and he and Carey would often come into the store and talk about the Beatles and other things. Walter Humara and the Silos were also around town a lot in those days. I was lucky to see both bands whenever I could. Thanks for sharing this, It has me memory tripping
JD Foster produced the self titled Silos record at the Florida Theatre and he came into the record shop with Bob Rupe a few times. Lovely man, he put me on to Townes Van Zandt Live at the Old Quarter before any of my friends had discovered him. Hell of a bass player too.
This is Janas. 😁Substack is in Rob’s name, I guess!
Beautiful, Richard💕
Hi!
Helloooo❣️👊🥰☀️👂🤓
Oh, damn.
I really love this song. Thanks for sharing the process - all Greek to me but enjoy attempting to visualize how it all comes together.
That tweak of the time really puts a drive in the tune. Listening to the original now. Great work. Like, 'on repeat'

Hi. Your memory has selected correctly. Live looping was a fun way to keep the shows on their toes — each night had a twist.

Also, my friend JD Foster was also in both The Vulgar Boatmen & The Silos. What a concentration of talent.

Beautiful. Just the right grit sandpaper for the job.
